Match left and right shoes by size, colour, last shape and markings. Compare upper, lining, outsole and accessories with the approved specification. Record visible substitution or uneven shade; a matching size label alone does not establish that the pair has consistent dimensions or construction.
Inspect the joins
Examine stitching, sole attachment, adhesive overflow, heel alignment and sharp or exposed components. Classify findings against the agreed defect examples. Bond strength, flexing, abrasion and slip resistance require defined methods and conditions; a hand-pull check is not equivalent to a controlled laboratory result.
Link findings to the affected batch
Illustrative case: sole separation appears in one colourway. Retain the affected pair identifiers and compare adhesive batch, curing records and production date with unaffected pairs. Request evidence of the cause and corrective action, then agree fresh samples and the checks required before release.
