What can a factory audit tell you before a first order?

Discuss capacity and quality controls as defined audit objectives. A visit can review site identity, product processes, equipment and bottlenecks, shifts, subcontracting and committed order load. Quality-system work can review responsibility, documents, supplier and incoming controls, process and final inspection, nonconforming goods and corrective actions.

Ask for sampled production and inspection records to be cross-checked with operations and interviews. A certificate or an equipment list alone does not establish usable capacity. The audit describes the agreed site and scope; a separate order inspection addresses the goods.

Agree the report before agreeing the visit

Confirm order identification, requirements and revisions, sample population, defect classification, test methods, findings, photographs, site limits and the report language. TTS public governance information describes human review and traceable review and delivery versions. Request the review process and deliverable appropriate to your assignment.

Using inspection report evidence for a shipment decision

A brief that makes quotations comparable

Send the product and models, quantity, full factory address and contact, current production and packing progress, preferred date, approved specifications or sample, target market and the decision to support. Ask each candidate to confirm personnel, executable scope, fee, report completion time and language, plus postponement, correction and reinspection conditions.

What public evidence can you examine?

The existing report directory on this site contains publicly available sample-report categories. TTSQC also publishes anonymized real inspection extracts for a textile product. Those extracts help explain sampling and photographs; they do not establish results for furniture or every TTS assignment.
