List the bottle or tube, liner, closure, pump, decoration and product-contact materials. Confirm the formulation or representative fill used for testing. Empty-container inspection can reveal workmanship issues, but it cannot establish compatibility between the final formulation and every contact component.
Define the conditions before testing
Agree fill level, closure setting, orientation, temperature, duration and acceptance criteria for leakage or dispensing checks. Record pump output, priming behaviour and blockage where relevant. Compatibility work may need longer-term observation and appropriate laboratory methods, rather than a short factory visit.
Make artwork part of change control
Compare batch codes, net contents, language and warnings with the approved market-specific artwork. Do not classify a wrong label as merely cosmetic without considering its consequence. Illustrative case: a pump change alters the delivered amount; repeat the relevant dispensing and seal checks and review the approved pack specification.
