CPSC has drafted a revision of its toys age determination guidelines. The current 2002 version is updated to include new toy types. The comment period ends on July 31, 2018.
Age determination is a key factor for toys. Children not only develop over a short period of time; their abilities also largely determine what may or may not be hazardous for children.
In order to support manufacturers in correct age determination, US CPSC had engaged to draft guidelines on correct age determination.
